Even thought the world is closed, is it possible for Tesla and Nvida to reach all time highs? Well, I don’t know about that, but what I do know is that both stocks are about to break out their recent consolidation areas in the 4hr chart and head higher. It was just last week to where Amazon stock (AMZN) went on a tear. Amazon stock had the same chart setup and I was actually ready to drop $25k on a leap call option. I never paid that much for an option before but I was that confident that Amazon was going to have a run of a lifetime. The only thing wrong with this setup is that I didnt get in. Amazon did rip higher, but I missed it as I was trying to be a prudent investor and wait for a pullback. There was no pullback in the stock ever and it ripped straight up over a few days to be higher by over 20 percent. That kind of move is really unheard of for a trillion dollar market cap stock. I mean, Amazon was trading like a penney stock. It was obvious that the whole market was hiding in Amazon.
Earnings happens to be this week and Amazon better not disappoint. Wait a minute. Isn’t this post about Tesla and Nivda? Yes, it is. The reason why I mentioned Amazon is because I see the same setup in both Tesla and Nvida stock.
So how can you take advantage of this situation. Easy, grab a big bat (a call option) and swing for the fences. I’m not doing that myself but instead, I’m going to bunt. Yes, bunt. Im selling short term call options below the stock price to add some theta burn as well. It also allows me to be wrong for a few points.

I got burned by Tesla. No, not the car but the stock; $TSLA. If you follow my you know I’m all about stocks. Well for now I am. I am about photography, trucking, stocks, and maybe a little of talking smack. I really mean the dirty other word.
Let’s talk about what happened with this Tesla stock. Bottom line, I was dumb. I felt for the life of me that this stock would never go down as long as I am in the trade. The stock pattern was so bullish, which I show in the video. I placed my trades mainly by selling put vertical or put credit spread, which are bullish trades. What I needed to learn is that the pattern can change and it did change. Fast. The morning I was down, $tsla or Tesla was down over 75 points when the average true range (ATR) was about 55. Even though I should of stayed in the trade knowing that, I was forced to sell because I received to much pain. I couldn’t afford to be wrong again. So the easiest thing is to get out of the trade and stop the bleeding.
